Delay of Opening

Dear Seven Locks Members,

This past weekend’s warmer temperatures and sunshine made us all yearn for our time together at Seven Locks. As you may have seen from yesterday’s Montgomery County press release, we will not be able to open the pool as planned this Friday, May 22.

We are still hopeful, however, that pools will be included in phase 2 of Governor Hogan’s reopening plan.

Nothing is more important to the Board than the safety of our members. While we wait for guidance from county and state authorities, we are working with our pool management company, other pools in the area, and with experts to come up with a safe reopening plan for our members. When we are able to enjoy the pool, things will look a bit different, and it will be necessary for all members to adhere to the safety guidelines.

We hope to communicate our new protocols to you well before opening so you have ample time to review and discuss them as a family.

While we cannot open the pool yet, we have reopened our three tennis courts. We’ll share more information about how to reserve court time in the near future. For now, please use the courts on a first come, first served-basis and limit the number of players on the court to four.

As always, thank you for your membership and your patience. We wish you a safe Memorial Day and look forward to seeing you soon. In the meantime, feel free to reach out to sevenlockspool@gmail.com or president@sevenlocks.org.
