Updated FAQ: Grill Use, Mask Wearing

Seven Locks has updated its guidelines for the 2020 season, include questions regarding mask and grill use.

Grills: The grills are open for use, but patrons will need to bring their own tools. Please thoroughly clean and wipe down grills when you are done.

Masks: We have had a lot of questions and input about mask wearing. Seven Locks has revised both the county and state guidance. Here is what is required of if you are within the pool area:

  • Do NOT wear a mask while swimming
  • DO wear a mask if you are sitting on the side of the pool and talking to friends or anyone else outside of your household
  • DO wear a mask when talking to staff, no matter how far apart you are
  • DO wear a mask when wandering on the pool deck in case you see a friend and are within six feet of one another

You do NOT have to wear a mask if you are sitting at a table with members of your household. You also do NOT have to wear a mask if you are sitting and at least six feet from another patron.

Please be respectful. This is not an exact science, and it is going to require every member to police themselves. Guards will ask members to put on masks if there are egregious violations of the rules. Guards will make announcements regarding the rules. Please listen to them.

For reference Montgomery County guidance says pool patrons “patrons should wear face coverings when interacting with staff or other individuals not from their household.” On June 18, the county also issued guidance that states “all county residents over the age of two shall wear face coverings whenever they are in public and social distancing is not possible.”
