Junior Programs for Spring 2014
Throughout the spring & summer, Seven Locks, in partnership with Bethesda Tennis Academy, offers a variety of junior programs for all levels of play. Tournament Training (Advanced-Intermediate Clinic):
This clinic is designed for advanced Junior Team players and USTA team tennis players. Each clinic will include a warm-up, specialized drilling, some match play, and fitness. Clinic is designed for a player who wants to become more serious about tennis and begin playing USTA tournaments. Parents must email Nitin at Bethesda Tennis Academy before enrollment.
Spring 2014 Tournament Training
Dates: March 24-June 2, Mondays 5-6:30 pm
Cost: $240 (15 hours; 10 weeks plus a makeup week)
Drop-in rate per class $30
Players on the Rise (intermediate Clinic Ages 9+):
Perfect clinic for junior players who have been on the Junior Team. Each clinic will include a short warm-up, drills (fed-ball), some match play, and fitness. This program will help develop a more consistent player through repetition and specialized instruction.
Spring 2014 Players on the Rise
Dates: March 27- June 5, Thursdays 5:30-7 pm
Cost: $240 (15 hours, 10 weeks plus a make-up week)
Drop-in rate per class $30
Up & Comers (Beginners/Low Intermediate Ages 6-8):
Clinic is designed to develop proper technique as well as the understanding of the game of tennis. Clinic will include an abbreviated warm-up, stroke specific drilling, and games. Through the program students will gain a solid base for future development as well as an understanding for how to keep score and play matches.
Spring 2014 Up & Comers
Dates: March 24 – June 7, Mondays 4-5 pm, Saturdays 11am-12pm
1 day/week $160 (10 hours)
2 days/week $280 (20 hours)
Drop-in rate per class $20
Prices are for 10 weeks plus a make-up week.
Tiny-Tots (Kids ages 4 & 5):
Introductory clinic, designed to develop motor skills and cognitive learning. Focus will be on hand-eye coordination, basic stroke technique, and enhancing each child’s interest in the game of tennis. This is the perfect program for a young beginner to start the game of tennis and create an interest that will last a lifetime.
Spring 2014 Tiny Tots
Dates: March 29- June 7, Saturdays 10-10:45 am
Cost: $120, 10 weeks plus a make-up week.
Drop-in rate per class $15
All make-ups for inclement weather can be done by attending another day’s class if available. Please call 301-365-1541 as that is our information line and source of relaying any cancellations etc. If signed up for full session there is a make-up week to attend class that may have been missed.
