We’re Back in Action!

We’re pleased to report that we passed our WSSC inspection yesterday and that our parking lot was repaired today. Starting tomorrow morning, we’re back to our normal operating hours (11 am – 9 pm daily) and processes (i.e., no reservations required). For the rest of today, please continue to only use the 16 spaces closest to the basketball court.

As we put this unexpected challenge behind us, we wanted to share a few words of thanks. Dan Berger was onsite every day, overseeing progress and pushing on our plumbers and Washington Gas to get everything resolved as quickly as possible. We’d also like to thank Delegate Marc Korman and his office for their help in contacting Washington Gas and expediting the remediation.

Several area swim clubs hosted our swim and dive teams so that they could continue practice. Thank you to FINS for coordinating our swim team’s time at Old Farm Swim & Paddle Tennis Club and for Potomac Swim & Tennis and North Chevy Chase Swimming Pool Association for hosting our dive team. Our swim and dive reps worked hard to reschedule practices and move home meets to other pools. It was a herculean effort.

Finally, thank you to the countless members who reached out with words of support over the past few weeks. They’ve meant a lot to this volunteer board as we navigated a frustrating and stressful period.
